Position Charter & Experience
User Experience designer sought for contract to design initial web user
interface for new software products. This position requires
working directly with technologies and client stakeholders to develop
strategies and specifications for a web user interface providing rating
and issuance functionality to insurance carrier staff and agents.
You will use information gathered from client meetings, team
collaboration, best practices, and competitive analyses to develop, site
maps, user interface diagrams, requirements and specifications which
represent the layout, flow and organization of the user interface.
At completion of contract the design will be turned over to on-site
technical staff for implementation.

Photoshop designs alone do not meet the qualifications listed below. At
the end of this contract, all applicants must be able to provide web
page templates including, sample html and css style sheets that will be
used in implementing the design.
Key Accountabilities
UX Design position responsibilities include:
Working with the client base and technical staff to design online user
experiences. Interface with clients to gather requirements based on
existing business processes, goals, and user needs Research the
competitive landscape and make recommendations relating to web interface
organizationDevelop navigation, interaction, nomenclature systems, and
UI diagrams. Collaborate with the internal creative and technical teams
to ensure that website designs meet both client and end user
needs

Experience
3-5 Years experience in human factors, user interface design and
information architecture in the Web or Web-based application arena.
Excellent client-facing consultative skills including the ability to
lead clients and drive best practices. User focused, highly motivated,
organized, able to multi-task, and work under tight deadlines. Knowledge
and evidence of practice with user-centered design principles and
information architecture and information design. Familiar with standard
concepts, practices, and procedures within the user experience field.
Experience evolving the Web presence of websites and Web applications
Portfolio that includes examples of user interface diagrams,
requirements and specifications (NOT visual designs)
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred.
